IWALEWA'S VICTORY: PART 1& 2

What nature may hold the same fate for twins, but their character can never be near, even as they proceed from the same womb this is because the creator deals with each one  according to his riches and wishes without negation. The body of a hummer bus may disgrace the engine but that doesn't connote or contribute to  it speediness as long as the engine is intact any kilometer is sure.

Folarin after traditional marriage with his wife Fiwasaye earlier gave birth to two female child Oreofe the first born and Iwalewa the second born. The couple tried all they could to give birth to a male child as third but to no avail.

Iwalewa grew up as a smart, tall, Slim and dark in complexioned, from the family of Mr. and Mrs. Folarin in a village called Ayegbaju.

Her elder sister Oreofe, also was a smart, sharp – mouthed young girl of average height and fair in complexion.

Oreofe has a first class in natural beauty academy compared to other females in Ayegbaju village.

Oreofe was an idol beyond her parent look to an extent that at thirteen, guy argued with each other on who Oreofe best friend was, this continued for five years when she got married to Bodunrin a hunter well known and respected but after the marriage things wasn't okay with Bodunrin and his new wife since everyday tend to raise mistook between Oreofe and her-mother-inlaw  this habit made her mother-in-law Iyaewe, detested her so much that she never hardly stays in good term with Oreofe.

She had over three square time worried her son to look for another wife since Oreofe couldn't provide a child less to half, even, with her uncultured manner.

My son, just try and get me wife not this combatant in your house, the strength of any woman is fathom by her character'. She said but Bamidele never listen

although, himself doesn't like the way Oreofe associate with people - most time, simple argument without stress results into serious angry between them but instead, of Oreofe to keep the air of peace winding by saying sorry, she rather dime fit to fight his husband considering the cause of the argument as her right.

Bodunrin, was a kind of man who doesn't like noise so, each time, he steps out of the house to his friend place and coming back he drank himself to stupor with believe to bereave the happenings with this he had mastered never to lay hand on his wife instead he would ran to his mother or friend for refuge in order to maintain peace.

“Oreofe the Iron Lady” they say, never take any mistake uneasy, before her victim knew, he or she goes home with an insult or rather withstand hard against her.

One day, Oreofe on her way to the stream dropped her bucket at the road bank to cut some leafs, before she could notice One of her neighbour son, mistakenly hit the bucket as he was playing with stone. Ojo quickly resume to Oreofe's foot in humility and pleaded but Oreofe rejected.

“Aunty Ore” he called, kneeling down and about to cry,' am sorry. It was a mistake. I promise to replace the bucket for you'.  He pleaded.

“How dare you break my bucket and say it was a mistake’, okay you want to tell me that this holes you called eyes can no longer see is't?

She slapped Ojo twice on his face, jerked him to the ground and smash the bucket on his head. Ojo sneaked out from her hand.

“My head-ooo!!! Somebody help me.” he shouted but Unfortunately, nobody was around.

When he got home, he explained the incident to his parent.

“Ojoola!’’ His mother exclaimed. ‘You mean Oreofe did this to you? I must teach her a lesson today. She said with her heart already beating like pumping machine hoping for space to drop the fuel in its mouth.

her husband was busy repairing his bicycle beside their corridor.

‘Where are you going Iya Ojo?

Come back here, fighting
back can't solve this problem or don’t you know your son was at fault? Even thou, Oreofe action wasn't glorifiable.

“Now' Listen to me, I am going there myself and don’t ask me anything’.

Aremu met Bamidele under a tree balcony in his compound while Oreofe was inside preparing food.

Aremu looked aggressive.

Kpom! Kpom!! Kpom!!! He  knocked to call attention.

‘Aremu. you are welcome, I hope the snail and its shell are still together, as you come to my house today? Bamidele teased.

‘'I am not happy friend. my present here today is to give you the respect we, both deserve; I want you to warn Oreofe your wife, caution her,  Next time, if she tamper with my only eyes which is my son - Ojoola, I bet you I wouldn't take it easy'. He gruffly said and turned back home.

Bamidele,  knew his wife to be a trouble maker, it was settled in his spirit, even thou, he was yet to know what actually transpired this time.

He then, called Oreofe to find out but  Oreofe, refused to tell him until he got up from his chair and gave her a slap, Oreofe grabed his shirt and they started fighting till their neighbor came to separate them.

Midnight that day again, after the fight. Bamidele  with anger threw Oreofe's bag, clothes and other belongings outside and  pushed her out of the  house.

it was late, nobody came out as they where afraid of Oreofe. Oreofe, cried out, but nobody came out to help. Next day, She picked some of the loads and held to his parent house, since there was no other place for her.

Fiwasaye from the kitchen as she heard her daughter Oreofe  screaming as she explains to her father how Bodunrin husband illtreated her.

You see, Fiwayase cut in and began, fixing at Folarin. "Since yesterday night at no cost, I felt sad, after all, the bicycle boy was at fault as this issue concern, again doesn't warrant that imbecile poor hunter fellow to beat up our daughter, even to chase her away? She queried looking more aggrieved.

E-hn.. Folarin cleared his throat in reply.

'I have subsequent times, troubled you to show me the real father of this naughty girl you brought into my house, sincerely from my heart she deserve no accolade as long as am concern. Now, she screams so I can trample a man who I suppose to congratulate for taking his responsibility despite pressure to disown Oreofe as wife due to nonchalant and uncureful manner your daughter exibits. Imagine. He paused and continued. Simple question he inquired from your daughter, instead to answer politely or say sorry she stood to fight him, is that how we had been living in this house? No tell me woman I wish to know?. Folarin, broke out as if it was a day he had been waiting for, to pour his mind.

Okay, now she's naughty to you because she love to protect her right is it? Who did she resemble me or you answer  Folarin? Anyway, that's for you but all i know is that i cant live to see anyone squeeze any of my daughter alive. Fiwasaye replied

Their voice became strong and louder at each other

Over my dead body will this Idiot resemble me, is only my ancestor, that knew where you imported her into my house, this lifestyle can never came through my sperm, she's a foreigner compare to Iwalewa. Folarin Replied with more aggression as he walked away

Fiwasaye couldn’t control herself anymore began to shed tears.

Despite the controversy over Oreofe, she didn't change, instead she became more quarrelsome as days increased. She lived with her parent pending till suitor came for her but reverse was the case.

FEBISOLA’S     DEATH

Each night wards from different corner of Ayegbaju gathered at Folarin's compound, they would clutter round Iwalewa to listen to folklores and poems from her.

Iwalewa also with the help of others youth, formed "monthly gets-together" for the youths in the village and outside, before youth forum in Ayegbaju come together only when their suggestion is mandatory needed to complete a memorandum on a particular developments in the village, aside this, they don't meet, but Iwalewa with the help of Suuru who later became the leader established it as a forum to meet and debate common issues affecting the youths of Ayegbaju at least once in a month.

At first Folarin didn't supported the development  due to fear of boys among the youth that their intention of joining or following the new trending forum was to access ladies without proper induction, but Iwalewa waved his father believe as she explained her vision how the initiation was thrown to her in a dream and that she has made up her mind to fulfill the mandate without careless of her pride.

Iwalewa’s became famous among all the villagers

Prince Adeyemi as pressured by his father for a grandchild since his mother died after brief illness making him the only child and motherless  when at twelve.

Adeyemi therefore, told his father that he had agreed to marry but must be Iwalewa. The king happily sent his guards to Folarin as to announce the union and commence plans as soon as possible.

After the meeting, Folarin hasted back home with flow of joy in him, when he got home, he called his wife and his two daughter into the sitting room and started dancing to show how excited he was, as Folarin was dancing without beat they felt something must have worked for good which needed to be celebrated after awhile watching Folarin they all at once joined the celebration with the famous yoruba dance steps, but at last Oreofe aborted the dance and said.

“Dad! You are more happy today, hope is what I am thinking? Oreofe asked thinking Bamidele had came back for her.

‘My daughter don’t mind me the Lord has removed the sand in our garri and replace it with sugar and groundnut. He breathed speedily and continue. The Prince number two citizen of this village has promised to marry your sister Iwalewa.

Folarin finally broke the news, he continued dancing as if the band was being played live to him.

As soon as, Iwalewa heard what his father said, a body of water settled down inside her eyes, like a Lake, it rolled down from her cheeks in rivulet sound, broke into tributaries, this were tears of anxiety and fear. Iwalewa was unhappy with the news that her father brought about
the prince’s proposal to her instead of  her elder sister.

She became un-comfortable staying with them because, to her it was a slap on Oreofe.

Looking into, Iwalewa unsatisfaction written all over but she refuse to open up to anyone.
