Oreofe went back to Ifayemi for complain and recantation Ifayemi then, gave her some prepared charm to burry spiritually burry at their entrance for Iwalewa to step.
following day which was a day to the engagement, Iwalewa unluckingly matched the charm as she woke up from bed. The charm began to disturb her that day around 7 am.
Folarin observed the unusual body temperature and Iwalewa consistent complaining of stomach ache went and cut some herb for her.
After some time, Iwalewa could not walk as she became very weak; She screamed loudly that she was in pain. she was rushed to the hospital.
Two days later her condition worsened. It was a sickness which the Doctors was unable to explain,
all their test revealed that she was fine but she continued in pain,
More so, Iwalewa has never fallen sick to such magnitude since she
was born. Doctors kept prescribing different drugs, to the extent that, drug served as Iwalewa's daily breakfast and supper.
A lot of money was spent on hospital bills yet nothing tangible was achieved.
Prince Adetoro visits her daily to see how well she was fairing, each day, he makes sure he cleared every outstanding bill, before he lives the hospital with a courtesy from king Adesewa his father.
''Iwa’. he called. ‘The king prayed you get well soon, he had promised to visit you after the ongoing traditional rites in the village.
‘thank you’, my regards to him. Iwalewa forcefully replied to him as Adetoro left.
Couple of months of Iwalewa hospitalization. Everyone in Ayegbaju knows that somebody who would gather the children play with them was missing.
During a youth meeting, Iwalewa was their theme of discussion. Suuru their leader was first person to raise the issue.
"What a painful condition that our bosom friend has fallen into, indeed a big tree is about to fall into a big river, the elephant is about to fall. We all can recall, how this girl had contributed immensely to the progress of this group -- we have to do something to save her from this menace because, ‘a friend in need is a friend indeed’’. He said and other joined.
“E – hn, truly you have spoken well but we all know the atrocities this girl’s sister has caused the youth of this town in the past; am not talking about any other person but Oreofe who her wicked act, has created enmity among our members here - if lied, sir, all of you sitting are my witness. He said staring at the crowd and he furthered;
We all know Iwalewa has been ill for past six weeks.' From my observation, the illness affecting Iwalewa is not physical, this time
money and provisions, can't offer the best solution. He breath in deeply.
I, suggest; we appeal to king Adesewa to allow us seek for spiritual assistant in religious places.
‘This would help us find a lasting solution to this problem
confronting Iwalewa. The first speaker suggested and was collaborated by a female member present.
'Well, she sighed and continued. You has spoken wisely, had it been I knew you to be wise like this, ‘I would have moved the motion for you to be Nicknamed “Wise one among us".
My little addition fellow youth is that ‘’It is good to give honour to whom honour is due, and to show how well it is for the cock to crow at the appropriate time and also the Birds to fly in right direction’’.
Firstly, we need to visit the family and sympathize with them also, to express our solidarity to Iwalewa, along with some money together with provisions to the hospital as well, then, we can finally, go ahead to inform the king about what we have in mind to do as suggested by Wise one Among us, i believe her husband to be, i mean our only Prince we surely support us. “I rest my case for now”. They laughed.
After a long discussion, they all agreed to visit Iwalewa at the
hospital firstly and inform them about their plan.
It was evening of Ayegbaju market the youth as scheduled, finally arrived at the hospital. at the hospital was sympathizer’s flocking into the room where Iwalewa was to share their feelings, thou, she was unable to speak or stand to respond greetings.
The youths led by Suuru also arrived with their members about five of them as selected.
“come in, you are welcome answered Oreofe who was sitting closer with her father.
After waiting for a while, Suuru addressed the family as regards to
their visit. 'We are here to encourage you on Iwalewa’s illness, we
beseech the gods to strengthen her, as it is part of our rules, we are here with some provision and little money put together by the youth to support her upkeep, hoping she get well soon. He sighed and continued
Secondly, we have also come to inform you that the youth wish to help in finding solution to Iwalewa’s health, if the King approves us to go ahead so, we are here to get your support as well.
Folarin in his response recall the stress that him and his two daughter have being passing through alot since the death of her wife. He began to weep as he speak.
'Febisola! He called. where are you now? In the world of the dead? Wake up and fight, its time you come to your daughter help.
‘Folarin, started weeping profusely.
“Please father. Oreofe cut in. stop this your cry or else I will start mine too.' Folarin not knowing that the snake biting him was under his foot, obeyed Oreofe.
' I am happy for your concern towards my daughter condition, the prince, myself and her sister here have tried our very best yet to no avail. But I hope now, that you are involve we would work together to save my daughter.
